Frugal Fashion: Python and a Pop of Color

I took this look to the Mississippi Gulf Coast recently for a girls’ trip to Ocean Springs, and I had to keep up with fashionista Jane Foster of Southern Shine for goodness sake, so it had to have some pop. But the budget was tight! After all I would rather spend it on food. čÖé A quick trip to my local H&M and I left with this outfit, which including jeans, top, clutch, and earrings costs less than $70.

The blouse (shop here) is sheer so you’ll need a cami underneath (or not; hey, you do you). It combines black, mossy green, and subtle pops of golden yellow for an interesting take on snakeprint. The gathering at the neck and sleeves adds a feminine, ruffled look.

The jeans (shop here) are mini-flares and yes, they do have rips in the knees, but nothing that shows too much skin. I wear them all the time, and they are super comfortable and hit the waist in that not-too-low, not-too-high spot on the waist.

Add a pop of yellow with the bag (shop here) and the earrings (shop here) and you can slither confidently beside your best girls!

How do you do snake print?
